PedEgg Review: Does The PedEgg Really Work?
The PedEgg is a compact egg-shaped foot file designed to remove calluses and dead skin that also collects the powdery dry skin filings in a built-in compartment. The PedEgg claims to "make your feet feel smooth and healthy with NO MESS!" Consumer Reports recently tested the PedEgg on 29 individuals (26 women, 3 men) who had rough, callused feet. Each individual tried a PedEgg on one foot and a pumice stone on the other. The testers used each product once, rubbing the PedEgg on dry skin (as per instructions) and the pumice stone on wet skin, where it is more effective. They found that the PedEgg “was very good at removing calluses and good with dry skin. It did better overall than a pumice stone, and buffing pads smoothed leftover roughness.” As for the “NO MESS”, testers found that some of the filings did manage to escape collection, so they recommend using the PedEgg over a wastebasket.
Does the PedEgg really work? According to Consumer Reports the answer is yes! So go ahead and get yours , it is so worth it. The PedEgg costs around $10 (SallyBeauty.com ) and comes with two extra finishing emery buffing pads. Best of all, the PedEgg is easy to use and works great! If you follow the directions the PedEgg will noticeably smooth you feet after just one use. Use the file portion to remove calluses and dry skin, and then use the buffing pad to smooth everything down (all so easy). Finish it off with a good moisturizing foot lotion like Philosophy Soul Owner Exfoliating Foot Cream ($14.00) and your feet will feel like they are fresh from the salon.
